we’ve prayed believing.

we’ve waited and wondered hard the past 4 days.

overjoyed on monday to hear the meeting would take place on thursday.

discouraged with news on tuesday regarding  the number of waiting families in india.

interceded for the meeting, for a*man, and the orphanage staff on wednesday, believing the impossible.

weak and tired on thursday. mustering up faith. relentless in believing God is still good.

thank you for praying. now you can start praising…

the director at the orphanage has matched us with a 7 year old healthy girl!

this just doesn’t happen.

all odds against it.

thousands of people praying, approaching God on behalf of this child and our family.

the reason for the invitation? the director couldn’t figure out how to match our family and “our daughter” on the internet.

a*man was invited down to help him out!

a*man worked on it there, but realized that the system was down or had a glitch in it from the national end.

so after the meeting, back in delhi, he’s been working with CARA and the orphanage to get the information uploaded.

while we’ve been wondering what a*man’s been doing, he’s been working hard the past 2 days! we will get to meet him in person one day in india. i will shower him with gratitude.

the information is still not fully uploaded, but this much information was relayed to our agency and then to us at 830 am pst:

seven years old

born january 6

we are overjoyed!

i can’t wait to look into the eyes of my school-aged boys in a few hours and tell them of their sister.

i long to see her face soon, but for now, i give thanks for knowing her name, “k.”

and i will spend my next few days telling this story of God’s goodness, faithfulness, and favor.

only God. no doubt.

rejoice. celebrate with us. Psalm 95 1.7:

Come, let us sing for joy to the Lord;
let us shout aloud to the Rock of our salvation.
Let us come before him with thanksgiving
and extol him with music and song.

For the Lord is the great God,
the great King above all gods.
In his hand are the depths of the earth,
and the mountain peaks belong to him.
The sea is his, for he made it,
and his hands formed the dry land.

Come, let us bow down in worship,
let us kneel before the Lord our Maker;
for he is our God
and we are the people of his pasture,
the flock under his care.
