Love Where You Live, Part 4
“What you would call mundane and ordinary, God calls significant and sacred.” This is somewhere in the book, but it was fun to hear Ben quote me on stage!
Seriously, if you can grasp hold to the reality that when Jesus left earth, He left earth to us, then you’ll start to see that everything we do and say impact one another for the good of mankind and for the glory of God.
It’s been an absolute BLAST to teach with Ben in this series! I’m certain he’d say the same! What I love now that the series is over…
i return to my front row “amen” spot by the kids each sunday
i have a radical new view and respect for every production team member, worship team, and leadership that gets up early and serves for hours
i don’t have to be concerned when i use the restroom that the microphone is still attached to me
i’m taking these talks and more on the road! i’ve got radio shows, podcasts, local gatherings and some across the pond! and it’s just enough for now! i still get to be home in my sweats at night (thanks ben for pointing that out!) and be a part of family picnic nights, baseball games, cheering my neighbors on, and being a part of a fabulous small group each week.

What has made this book possible is all of us. I laugh when I think about the day my editor asked me to send in the release forms for those who told their story in the book. To send them electronically and to keep them organized in our “files,” I sent them one by one! Over the course of a few days, I sent and my editor received over 80 emails!
I’m so grateful that we’re not alone when we tell our story. We’re not alone because the AUTHOR of our story is always present, giving us the words to say and doing the unthinkable in the recipient’s life and ours. But we’re not the only storytellers. You might be the only one in your school or workplace, but someone else, somewhere else, is doing what you’re doing. They’re showing up. They’re engaging in relationships.
To everyone who told their story in Love Where You Live, thank you. Your stories are inspiring others and leading to more stories.
And to you, my readers and subscribers, thank you for showing up here. I pray you are motivated to tell your story to whoever God puts in your path today!
