God of Israel,

You are taking me to the “land that you care for. A land where Your eyes are always upon it, from the beginning of the year to the end of the year.” (Deuteronomy 11:12) This brings such peace. Thank you for caring about where we go and where You send us. To think You know all about our travels and steps and preparations before we arrive. You are a great and awesome God!

I just said goodbye to Ben and the kids. You were there. You heard the prayers they prayed over me. You knew my tears as Asher and Elijah prayed for this momma. My prayer is that You hold us close while we are apart. I find You beautifully mysterious that I can be in the Holy Land and they be in the minivan and You are in our midst. Watch over them, Father.

God, You see my friends reading this and You desire so much to touch their hearts, open their eyes, and hear from them. You know what is taking place in their lives and in their days. God, I pray for both of us. Awaken us to You. Turn our hearts to You. Draw us close to You.

And now, Father, I invite Your protection and covering over us as we travel through the night. And while the sun shines on some land and the moon lights the other, I will rest in this promise, “You Who keeps Israel will neither slumber nor sleep.” (Psalm 121:4)

Grateful to be Yours. To be known by You and loved by You. Hold me. Hold us. In Your Son’s Name, I pray. Amen.
