An Anniversary to Remember

[On our honeymoon to New England we watched the Nutcracker at the Boston Ballet
12.23.00]

[10 years later, we watch the Nutcracker at the San Francisco Ballet in our hometown
12.16.10]

To Ben's surprise and in an effort to help with the downsizing process for our move to San Francisco, I made plans to get rid of my wedding dress. I know. Stick with me for a minute. Secretly I got the dress out of the sealed box, had it steamed and made every attempt to get most of the buttons fastened! Meredith helped with the secret and the process. Ginger took the pictures at the Japanese Gardens in Springfield. It helped that Ben was on a trip to San Francisco that day. Ginger got the pictures processed I assembled a fairy tale book for Ben. What happened to the dress? A sweet lady, Karen, in St. Louis made angels from my dress as heirlooms for our boys. I also gifted Ben and my mom one. [They are pictured in the previous blog]

Though the dress will never be worn again, the memories of the day will live on as I pass a piece of the dress down to Ben and the boys. I love that Ben and I continue to write our story down for each other, too.

You can discover Ginger's amazing work at www.captivatedphotoworks.com and you can see Karen's work at www.karenheysemurals.com. Thank you both!
