celebrating women doing their God-given thing

{for the month of may, i’m highlighting a few women who are gaining confidence in who God has created them to be and displaying it so through different means. for some, it was born out of cause. for others, it was there since birth. and some, it’s the season of life they are in. and they are sharing their stories here this month! join me in celebrating them and that’s not all…they want to celebrate you! a giveaway on each blogpost through the month of may! find out below how to enter the drawing!}   {congrats to winners, Tania Runyan and Stacie Wood from the previous post}

welcome my friend and fellow staff girl at epic church, bea...

Hello, my name is Beatriz, and I am the domestic engineer at William & Sons (you might be more familiar with the title of stay-at-home mom). I feel privileged to be writing on Shauna’s blog. I currently live in the beautiful city of San Francisco with my husband of eight years, Will, and our two boys (Honor and Noble).

I get to do life with other moms in the city. Mom’s who share my faith, and some who don’t. Some who have careers, and some who are dreaming of new business ventures. I get to live my faith out on a day to day basis, as I try to model for my kids what it looks like to follow Christ--to love and to serve others as we go about our day (although most days I know I miss the mark).

Nothing has impacted or altered my life more than motherhood. Although I haven’t always felt this way, I can honestly say now, that I love my job! Becoming a mom has changed the way I depend on God, how I relate to Him and experience the reality of all that He is. I am learning to daily put my trust in Him as I tend to my family and live intentionally in my city. Sometimes I experience His grace, which gets me through those days that seem like they’ll never end. There are times when intuition helps me see deeper than my four year olds words can take me, and then God gifts me the wisdom to teach and comfort him in a way that speaks to his heart. I am learning that I can’t control my sons’ worlds, that God holds them in the palm of his hand. It seems like everyday is a new adventure with these guys, but another opportunity for all of us to grow and learn.

There are three things I love to do that are life-giving to me, (aside from playing legos with Honor and snuggling with Noble).

Crafting.

Baking.

Celebrating!

I'm sharing a recipe with you today. You can print it from here.

you can find me on instagram @2beabea where i post my crafting, baking, and celebrating!

I would like to celebrate one of Shauna’s Bay Area readers with Honor’s favorite banana cake.
Yes, I'll bake you a cake and deliver it to you!
Anyone can comment, but cake delivery can only take place in the Bay Area!
