final word {an adoption update}
but if i were you, i would appeal to God;
i would lay my cause before Him.
He performs wonders that cannot be fathomed,
miracles that cannot be counted.
{Job 5.8}
we are asking God to speak a final word over this adoption this saturday.
when the honorable judge hears the case again {2.7.14}, our hope and prayer is that she gives us verbal orders.
these verbal orders will give us custody of her.
k will legally have a forever family!
we should know something by saturday morning.
her time zone is 13.5 hours ahead of our time zone.
we will either have orders or have another hearing.
join us in asking God to speak a final word over this adoption.
feel free to pray this very prayer with us:
Father God, this adoption process has been in Your hands the whole time. You have defended, advocated, moved mountains, and been a refuge. We plead with You that the judge will have favor on us and issue us orders at this next hearing. Speak finality over this case. Not to us, O Lord, not to us, but to Your Name be the Glory. {Psalm 115:1} We put our trust and hope in You. And it's in the powerful Name of Jesus we pray, amen.
i will post here as soon as we hear news on saturday morning. if you are still uncertain about placing your trust in God, know that you have been heavy on my heart for the past few years. some of you i pray for by name. every part of this adoption journey has been one of rescue and redemption that is perfectly displayed in what Jesus did for you and me on the cross and beyond the grave. because He is alive and has conquered sin and death, we can have hope and life everlasting. i know k will one day love to know her story led you to the resurrected power of Jesus.
