Southwest Missouri flooding
John and Shirley Edie invited our family along to view some of the flooded lakes and rivers between Springfield and Branson on Sunday afternoon. While living in Tuscaloosa, we saw national reports on tv. Now living in Missouri, we have heard reports told as personal prayer requests. It was truly amazing to see it in person. Of course, we did have snow flurries on our drive...crazy on April 13th!
We saw Lake Taneycomo, Bull Shoals, and Table Rock. We have been told that all of the lakes and rivers connect, thus causing the flooding to linger and one floods the other. At Table Rock, for the first time in history, they had to open all 10 flood gates. At Lake Taneycomo, John used to wade in the water to fish. Now the lake is 40 feet deep. Streets are flooded, fairgrounds, tennis courts, ball parks, picnic areas and so much more.
Pray: Pray for the many people that are affected personally because of the flooding.
