The earth is the Lord's!

We've never really celebrated Earth Day as a family. It's obvious that the nation is going green and more awareness is being made to how we use energy more efficiently and how we can recycle and reuse. Basically, if you don't have a reusable bag...you're just not 'with it!'
As we make preparations to move to San Francisco in 14 months, we are learning more about the culture there. Earth Day is celebrated every day as they are more proactive about preserving our earth and conserving energy. It has been an eye-opening experience for me. Why is it that Christians are not the ones taking the iniative of making others aware of taking care of the earth? Hummmmm...
So this year is different. Elijah leads up recycling at home. We planted flowers in honor of Earth Day. Sam reminds me to take those reusable bags with us to the grocery store. We are using the sunlight to light our home during the day. Just a few small things, but we are honoring God when we take care of His earth!

Psalm 24:1 says, "The earth is the Lord's and the fullness thereof..." So, this year on Earth Day we celebrated the Creator for His beautiful creation! What will you do for your Creator in taking care of His creation?
