LOVE WHERE YOU LIVE DAY!

You can do one thing with great intention to let the citizens of your town know you are glad to be here and care about them.

Use this graphic below to invite your friends and followers to join you.

Imagine dozens of people right where you live intentionally blessing others this day!

And you shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength.’

The second is this: ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’ There is no other commandment greater than these.”

(Matthew 12:30-31)

Here are a few ideas:

  • Be a door holder today. Everywhere you go, hold the door open for the people coming in behind you.

  • Share your coffee love. Buy a cup of coffee for the person in line behind you.

  • Look for someone lonely or sad. Not everyone is having a great day. Offer a smile and ask how you can bless them on the spot.

  • Pull up a chair. Sit with someone who doesn’t have the desire/motivation/ability/health to make it happen today.

  • Hand out flowers.

  • What job in town goes unnoticed? Show up with treats for them!

  • Grab a trash bag and clean up your street or block where you live.

  • Write and deliver a hand-written note to a neighbor.

  • Send a meal gift card to someone who is sick, to a young family, to someone who needs a break.

  • Invite one or two or a few college students, young professionals, or internationals over for dinner or brunch this weekend.

  • Tell your colleagues about this day and go out and do one of these together!

  • Go over to the other side of town and explore.

  • Call a friend and go on a prayer walk together.

  • Support a local restaurant in town.

When people ask you why you’re doing this, tell them it’s LOVE WHERE YOU LIVE DAY! Encourage them to do a small act of kindness for someone else!

As you start your day, pray the Dweller’s Prayer:

Awaken me, Lord, to engage with the people around me today. I choose to make You known so that Your love may be in them as it is in me. Come, Jesus You are welcome here.
