Curious or interested in this prayer walk that will be happening in cities, small towns, near and far, mostly unbeknownst to the masses, but where God is most definitely aware?

at any moment of the day

join me and others who believe prayer makes a difference.

All this will be done around your neighborhood and shared on social media. Let’s encourage the world through prayer. Let’s post our stories of why we are praying. Let our communities know we care deeply. Stroll your babies. Walk your dog. Invite your friend or neighbor. Take the kids out. Pop open that umbrella or lather on the sunscreen. Go for 5 minutes or 50 minutes. Imagine what God sees when His people walk up and down their streets believing Him for the impossible and the unimaginable!

I’m answering some of your questions as we get ready to walk:

Q: What will a prayer walk accomplish?

A: A few things actually. Your heart will be softened and your burdens lifted as you talk to God. Fresh air, His air, is physically and mentally rewarding. The people you intercede for will be affected. God will hear you. You will see differently. You will pray more effectively.

Q: What are some ways to do this prayer walk?

A: Let it flow out of your routine walk, simply add a conversation with God. Here’s how to do your first prayer walk:

Turn the volume up and I’ll pray out loud with you on this together walk:

Wanna look for what you can’t see with your physical eyes? Try the unseen!

Q: Is it necessary to post on social media?

A: It’s not, but what if your post lifts the spirits of someone else in town who’s about to give up? What if your post is light in the midst of negative feeds? Use #globalneighborhoodprayerwalk on Instagram, Twitter, and Facebook. Let your friends and followers know you pray because you care.

Q: Have you gotten what you’ve prayed for this year?

A. For me, yes and no. Click on the question and read more of the answer.

Q: Why pray now?

A: Because truthfully we know everything is not as it should be. People are giving up. People are choosing isolation. Neighbors can hide their hurt behind their doors. People in our zip code are fighting their own battles. Depression is rising and people are looking for answers. When hope feels lost and the future more uncertain, prayer must be our response. I unpack this question in the post: why pray now?

Q: What do I pray?

A: Whisper, declare, chant, believe these sentence prayers as you walk:

Come, Holy Spirit.

Jesus, You are welcome here.

Not my will, God, but Yours be done on earth as it is in heaven.

Q: How can I see others who are prayer walking on 10.22.21?

A: I’ll certainly be reposting anything you post! You can search by the hashtag #globalneighborhoodprayerwalk and see what others are doing. Let us know your location, at least your state or country, that you’re prayer walking through!

Q: Will you let us know in the comments below if you’re joining us on the Global Neighborhood Prayer Walk and what corner of the world you’re in?
