If I could invite you over, I would.

I’d show you my pictures from Israel and a few natural finds I brought home.

I’d light some candles and set in plain view. It helps with our mood, I promise you.

I’d show you what I’m reading and ask you the same.

I’d tell you about this perfect app and what I’m thinking for the new year.

Would you want to hear?

Let’s pretend you’ve come over and I’ve got a few gifts for you.

They’re not necessarily the tangible ones you might have in mind, but I think they’ll do.

For the traveler

Bless your heart, my mom would say. Many of us have had to cancel trips and hope to plan that vacation for 2021. If you’re wanting to travel, settle in and read my letters to Israel. They’re binge-worthy and click-easy! Give the gift of learning.

For a few close friends

Host a book club! Zoom is now a part of our every day, so let’s make it count in 2021! Invite a few local friends to meet you weekly as I host the LOVE WHERE YOU LIVE COURSE in January! I’ll do a masterclass and then we will do breakout sessions based on your city and state. Imagine the force that will grow as a handful from your community take on living sent! Give the gift of purpose.

For your neighbors

I created these signs this fall and as I engage with our neighbors, I gift them a yard/window sign and a pack of popcorn with our contact information on it. It’s super encouraging to see these signs fill the windows on our street. Give the gift of love.

For those in your home

I love a good smelling home. It makes a messy home seem like all is gonna be okay. Who am I kidding? I can’t live in a messy home! So I clean and light candles! When everything is done at home these days, lighting a candle can mark the beginning or end. Ben and I light a candle by our chairs to start our day. Then on Shabbat which we celebrate Saturday afternoon through Sunday afternoon, we light two tapered candles on the kitchen table. Here are my favorites I share with you:

Paddywax Library Collection: Leo Tolstoy for spring

Yankee Candle Autumn Leaves for fall

Yankee Candle Balsam and Cedar for winter

Paddywax Ocean Tide and Sea Salt for summer. Give the gift of time.

For you

I’m still trying to convince myself that taking a pause in the day is necessary. I can also feel guilty about reading. We can do better than this. Download this brilliant pause app and add in some quiet in your day. Consider reading this Advent book even past the holidays. I can’t recommend these two enough. Give yourself the gift of centering.

I pray God’s presence will be manifest in your home and in your heart this Christmas. I pray you really see Him! In your neighbors, in your home, in your city, in the Scriptures, in your heart. He is Emmanuel, God with us! Merry Christmas, friends.

Are you considering the course?

I’m preparing to teach a LIVE 3 week course in 2021 with a group of you!

I’d love to know if you’re interested and send you a personal follow up email before we seal up 2020!
