A Quiet Christian’s Perspective
Friend,
I was chatting leisurely with one of us the other day and she mentioned she’s not good at sharing her faith with her co-workers because not everything she does or says honors God. In essence, she assumes her life is a stumbling block between others and God so to be a quiet Christian seems like the only viable option.
Oh, friend. Our lives aren’t that significant to overshadow the cross of Jesus Christ.
How we live greatly matters. Sharing Jesus with others is a major way we stay accountable to our Savior, in communion with our Lord, in relationship with Jesus Christ.
Let’s give this truth a practice. Because I love Jesus and He is everything to me, I am compelled to invite others to consider a life with Him. Because I love others and want their lives to matter, have purpose and hope, I am compelled to live for Jesus so they get a glimpse of what can be true for them in this life and the life to come.
Let us live out of faith before our co-workers so they see that following Jesus is the best thing ever and that we are a daily work in process as we die to self and live for Him. Repentance is a part of the daily Christian life not just a one time event at salvation.
I think today would be a good day to not be so quiet.
