precious k knows nothing of us.
yet.
i imagine her days to be the same as days before.
for the last year and a half.
we are the ones that sees the progress.
we began praying late 2011.
we started the application process early 2012.
we knew of her orphanage september 2012.
we knew her name and age march 2013.
we saw her face july 2013.
all along, she knows nothing of us.
i imagine she wonders. she dreams.
of a mom and dad. of siblings. of a forever family.
k lives her life today not knowing that we're pursuing her.
that we're thinking of her, preparing to receive her. praying for her.
picking out bedroom furniture and girly bedding.
we talk about her all the time.
we long to take her to the ocean.
treat her to ice cream.
for her to meet family and friends.
we know some things about her.
we know a little about her past.
we can spot her location on google maps.
we are waiting with open arms for the future with her.
still, she knows nothing of us. she knows nothing of the process. as of yet.
and in the very midst is God.
a parallel.
when i wonder and i dream, He already knows.
when my days are the same as yesterday, He sees what I cannot see.
He knows all about me.
He knows my past.
He knows where I am this very moment.
He is waiting with open arms to guide me into the minutes and days ahead.
what k wonders. i see.
what i wonder. God sees.
in my human mind {which is finite and small} i am in awe of my daughter.
in mind-blowing reality that she will be home with me and a part of our forever family.
i can see more than she can see of the adoption process.
even greater, our Father can see more than she and i can see of the process.
when i wonder what the day will be like when she learns of us,
i lift my head up in gratitude of the day God came near to me.
when i learned of Him.
i can't wait for faith to be made sight. for all of us.
update
the orphanage director has asked for additional paperwork to accompany our dossier and k's file.
we gathered the necessary papers this week, got them notarized, and apostilled.
they are in route to india right now.
we await Article 5
{Hague Adoption Convention letter saying we are eligible to adopt and she is eligible for adoption}
this important document is needed by the orphanage director to get us in for a state committee meeting that will review our files.
this committee is called SARA/ARC committee.
once they meet and approve us, we go to a CARA committee {federal} who will issue the NOC {no objection certificate}.
after that, our paperwork returns to the orphanage and the director works with the local courts to set up 3 court dates.
after we are registered with the courts, the director serves as our power of attorney.
upon final court, the director applies for k's passport.
that's when we make travel plans!!!!!
pray
please pray for Article 5 to arrive to us soon.
pray for the SARA/ARC committee to have a scheduled meeting after our paperwork has all arrived.
continue to pray for our hearts and hers to be united and for a deep love to take root even now for each other.
