Hello, I’m Lindsey Pilgreen. I was born and raised in Alabama for twenty-three years, a resident of Texas for four years, and now currently live just outside of San Francisco in Mill Valley with my husband and our two littles. My husband is a student at Golden Gate Baptist Theological Seminary so seminary wife and stay-at-home mom are my current roles in life.

Before moving to California, I was a high-school algebra teacher in a suburb of Houston, TX. We had a cute little rental house, two incomes, an energetic toddler, and another baby on the way. Then, as He often does, God stepped in and totally redirected our lives. We had almost given up on life in the Bay Area after a couple of failed attempts, assuming we were misunderstanding God. Turns out, we were right about the destination but the reason was just unknown up to that point. God put seminary and a future in ministry on our hearts, and everything fell right into place. Fast-forward to today and

I can tell you the ride has been far from perfect thus far. However, we have relied on God in ways we may never have otherwise.

What does all of this have to do with Shauna so kindly asking me onto her blog? In college, I discovered a love for hospitality. Weird, right?! But, really. I love the planning and prep of having people over to our home or planning an event and watching people enjoy themselves without worry. Plus, since becoming a mom, I have had a strong desire to encourage other new moms and women close to me.

Combine those interests with a knack for doodling (and eight years of cheerleading sign-making) and you get this fun hobby-turned-craft you can find at http://bhhandmade.wordpress.com . Most of my canvas ideas have stemmed from events happening in my life or the lives of people close to me. The cards stem from my love of a good set of stationary and the hope to encourage others.

As I mentioned before, I am now a stay-at-home mom, and I could not be happier with the opportunity to watch my babies grow on a daily basis like this. These canvases and cards have given me a creative outlet during this new time in life. Maybe they can be an encouragement or gift to you, too.
