Growing Up

Ben is officially 31 as of Friday. I gave him a GPS about a month ago so that he could use it on a visit to Springfield and especially as we learn our way around here. Our new neighbors got a basketball goal this past week and Elijah thought it would be a great idea to give 'daddy' a real basketball...I think he has a secret agenda. Actually, he always does when it comes to giving someone a present. He always has himself in mind! I served the infamous sausage pinwheels in which we stuck a candle and sang 'happy birthday.' To top the day off, it snowed. Yes, flurries were coming down at a fairly rapid speed as Ben is standing outside by the mini-van. I know that you probably can't tell, but would we be lying about snow in mid-April? I don't think so!
Asher, too, is growing up. He is sitting in a Bumbo. It's a great invention and I don't believe it was around when our other two were smaller. But at 3 months he can sit up all by himself...with the help of Bumbo. It's made of that foam substance. I think he and I are gonna like it!
I think I'm gonna add a prayer request to each blog entry. I know that many of our prayer warriors read this blog and we are humbled by the prayer support we have. So here we go. And thanks.
Pray: Pray for our family as we get into a "preacher family" routine. With Ben speaking on Sundays, Saturday evenings must be a time for Ben to prepare mentally and spiritually for the day ahead. Pray that myself and the boys will respect that time and that Ben will be disciplined to use that time wisely.
