Vacation, Part 2
We take vacations for many reasons: to relax, to get away from the norm, to see different places, to be with family, to spend more time together, to eat well, to unwind. For the second year now, we have attended family camp at Pine Cove Woods in Tyler, Texas. We were introduced to the camp through our college students, many who are on summer staff there. We met many new families, rode wave runners, ate soo much, swam, rode horses, rode boats and water rockets, paddle boats, canoes, dressed silly for theme nights, cheered, ate smores, played war ball, got our faces painted, sang songs, attended sessions on marriage and parenting, reunited with some of our former students, and so much more. Yes, we did rest! Thank you, Father, for an incredible week away as a family to be reminded how much we need You and each other. Thank you, God, for the gift of famiy!
