Do you know what you carry?

Friend,

“We sometimes don’t realize what we carry,” Stephen Foster said.

Watch this 2 minute clip about a regular haircut - a story that just might change your day.

“I carry the presence of God. God’s with me and so that makes a difference to every day,” Foster closed out his story.

Do we know what we carry? This is how I look at it. Recognize you are made of flesh. No brainer. You’ve got skin and bones - a structure. Recognize you are breathing. This too is a no brainer…or maybe quite the opposite! Mind blown! Take a deep breath in and let it out. That is spirit. You are made of flesh and spirit. Every human being. God pours out His Spirit on ALL flesh. Majority of humans today are moving about, breathing in, breathing out and unaware of what they carry.

The difference is in the ones who know it. The ones who know we are of flesh and spirit. That we are here today and gone tomorrow. But as long as we are taking these Spirit-breathed breaths, we carry the resurrection of the Living Jesus in us. And we will magnify Him and make much of Him through everyday conversations with the barber, the Uber driver, the barista, the cashier, the colleague, the child.

For they, too, are capable of carrying the Spirit of the Living God in them. Awaken them to His love and gift of salvation that is theirs for absolutely free by way of the cross. One word, one action, one kindness, just might change their future.

Be encouraged,

Shauna

Stephen Foster pastors St. Aldate’s Church in Oxford, England. I highly recommend listening, watching, reading any of his messages.
