Got a crazy prayer?

Friend,

I get crazy thoughts, but I’m scared to pray crazy prayers. A thought will enter my mind of what I hope could be or what I wish would just go away. I hope their surgery goes well. I wish that cancer would go away. I hope my kids make good choices. I wish that evil didn’t happen.

“Peter was kept in prison, but earnest prayer for him was made to God by the church,” Acts 12:5 records.

So the building was to cost a lot to remodel, but “earnest prayer was made to God by the church.”

So our oldest is to spend the summer pouring into young people, but “earnest prayer was made to God by the church.”

So there are a dozen churches and teams who want to lead Alpha in the city of San Francisco and we don’t know who will show up, but “earnest prayer was made to God by the church.”

So you can’t get pregnant, but “earnest prayer was made to God by the church.”

So your family or friends think your faith is a crutch and that church has no relevance today, but “earnest prayer was made to God by the church.”

So your dream will cost lots of money and need lots of favor and wisdom, but “earnest prayer was made to God by the church.”

So your anxiety is at a high and work seems endless, but “earnest prayer was made to God by the church.”

Why would any of us pray for something? Why would we bother God with this? Or let’s say we pray about. Why would God answer us?

There is no prayer offered to God where He can’t work a crazy miracle on His own. (Acts 12:7)

Got a crazy prayer? I dare you to pray it. I dare you to give it to God and have the audacity to believe He can do something about it. Think for 10 seconds about a time you’ve seen God’s faithfulness and how much He cared for you. With that faith-filled moment on your heart, pray that crazy prayer.

The church prayed crazy prayers for Peter and crazy things happened. I could use a little crazy in my life. You?
