Number your days
Washing my face
I was counting the sleeps
Until we set sail.
And why?
To get to something better?
To slow down time?
Why can’t i see the gold in this day?
The best part of living
Is present to the moment
To the people
To make today count.
This is a psalm somewhere.
So I want there curled up in bed.
Psalm 90:12
Teach us to number our days
That we may gain a heart of wisdom.
Count today.
Recount.
Learn from.
I held ben after we learned some sad news.
I cut fresh peaches.
I watched the rain.
I giggled as my mom enjoyed biking through the puddles, legs out.
I chose to lay down for 30 minutes
I tried new coffee.
I said goodbye to something that is no more.
I’m not great at new.
But I’m resourceful.
I used aluminum foil to lace Asher’s shoes.
I laughed so hard with cousins.
Dairy Queen isn’t good on the island. I can’t learn that somehow.
I helped my sister pick out seashell earrings.
I like how i do fast wavy hair.
Kavita is the sweetest person.
Asher is tremendously kind.
I want these days to count.
I want to learn from these days
That i can gain a heart of wisdom.
